Blog—June 30, 2025—9-10—It’s YOUR Business

Our It’s YOUR Business Show to close June—did a lot of mixing and matches---particularly with the July 1st date on the changing of water regulation rules in South Dakota going into effect Tuesday.

Larry Kotten was with us---as we covered the ground in both this show and the 10-11. Stacey Gorman---mother of the 13 year old girl who was killed on the waters by a moving vehicle driven by what today would be and under-aged teenager.

Others joined us---as we talked about the past and the future.

Yes more discussion on the Hillside Boat—and it being given Emmy’s name----Emmy’s Hillside Boat.

Teri Schmidt---Experience Sioux Falls-brought along Jessica Nickelson who talked with us about the National Jump Rope Event that has brought the world’s top jump rope athletes to Augustana University’s Elmen Center Sunday thru Thursday July rd. 900 attendees from 9 different teams across several states will generate an estimated $654,676 in director visitor spending. Yes both male and females---

First time in Sioux Falls—but Teri was already working on making sure those attended were welcomed----after all once you have them here---you want them to really want to come back. We’ll talk more with Teri on Wednesday’s 9 and 10 shows.

There is a Jump Rope Jamboree on July 2nd from 7 to 7 at the Elmen Center.

On this July 4th week—Tyler Torgeson ---Sioux Metro Alliance brought along Lennox’s Josh Chase. We talk about all the events that are going on with the July 4th weekend----and why these 18 or so communities ---work well together –along with the Big Dog—Sioux Falls. We enjoy working with the unique Metro Alliance---and encourage communities—including Sioux Falls to work together.

Two of the four Monday’s each month----9-10—include the Report Card Show and the Remodelers Shows. Next Monday the Report Card Show and a week later on July 14th it will be the remodelers.

Part of the two shows—realtors, builders, and those that do the financials. For 10+ years this former realtor licensee worked to bring all together for the shows that we have today. After all it’s about keeping the buyers, sellers, and those needing help advised as to where we are and where we are going. Glad we got leaders together because it has helped so many people make their own decisions with the help of the leaders in this show.

Our It’s YOUR Business Show will pass the 4,900 number in July. Add to that the fact I anchored 5,000 TV Newscasts in a dozen states—we are still finding ways to tell the stories—and what information that is useful for those that listen today and watched on my TV Shows before.

Questions for me—feel free to call/text at 605-728-2455 (BILL) or email me at bill.zortman@mwcradio.com. Norm Anderson will post the podcast on the KELO-AM Website---and I write this blog.
