Blog-June 3, 2024-10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business-Show 44-95
Our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show---followed up –as we normally do when the 9-10 show is either the Remodelers or Report Card Show. Today---it was the Remodelers Show and we were able even with it being just the 3rd of the month—share the Building Figures from Butch Warrington---showing we are behind 2023---but Butch and the other experts in the show---say they are seeing signs that indicate that June will be heading towards getting back to normal.
When we do that show---we bring on Chuck Sutton---Yes Mr. Auction and Jim Schmidt---Mr. Lincoln County to share what they are seeing.

Sutton was talking about my home-town---Hartford---auction that is working there—there are a number of others---and as he sees them—he shares with us—and those of you that are interested about who is in the market-place to buy or sell.
For us we know that corn and beans are in the ground ----estates may not be at the top of the list---though they could be.
We want the trend for our audience---and from what I can measure as a long time reporter---Sutton is busy---prices are open for discussion---- and if you need someone to call---it is Mr. Sutton.
In Lincoln County----Jim Schmidt---was a real gentleman and took me to lunch on Friday----we visited about Lincoln County----what we are doing for the public---and how we can do our best to keep our audience(s) informed regardless of whether they are city or country. It is an interesting year-----and while it is tough for many---others are trying to use their best judgement to keep their county---in business.

We are planning in the July show to start working on our “MY Little COUNTRY Town” scenario----reminding people about those little country towns in SD, Iowa, and Minnesota---that we could perhaps pat on the back----something we will begin doing.

These two guys are plugged into rural sales---as well as those in town----our job is to keep them in the spotlight so we can provide communication on the price of this, that and the other.

Nolan Clarke-----Plains Commerce Bank---talked with us about how they are keeping in the planning stage during the good-ole summer-time. Nolan and Brent have helped us thru the years----we know our audience wants to hear how to plan as farmers, businesses, and families regardless of age. They join us on Monday and Wednesday----

Sarah Heinrich---Growing Harvest Network KFGO Fargo----not only appears in our Ag Business Shows—but other of our Sioux Falls Stations. She does a good-job and we are always available to help our Midwest Communication Sister Station when they want our support. That’s the way we need to do business.

Matt Swenson----the Owner—the Operator—the Up-to-the-minute Market Man gives us the mid-morning grain, meat, energy—and Big Board on Wall Street Report. Swenson Commodities—has been a partner with us for years and we truly appreciate what they do---and how they do it.

This morning –FFA’s Gerri Eide---brought along one of our winners----Cash Martinez from Bridgewater-Emery. It was an interesting scenario and it was easy to see why Cash was one of the winners chosen. It’s a notch closer to the South Dakota State Fair---and probably will be one of those we will talk with when we get to the State Fair---in August. Can’t wait!!
Jaime Wood—SBA of South Dakota----talked with us along with her counterpart in Colorado—about the projects they are working on right now and thru the summer.

Strange to see---but really good to see—why this is so important for states to work together---and as Small Business Administration to have the Region 8 Administrator from Colorado—talking about what is being done—how they are working together and where this is going.

Rock Nelson---shared the Rock Report this morning –the guest---Robin Rowe—General Manager of We Stitch Stuff in Sioux Falls.

As Rock shared—we didn’t want to complicate the name of the company-so We Stitch Stuff was the key.

In essence they specialize in sewing “stitching”, medical device textile products, large utility bags for fire and EMS gear, golf products, hunting gear products, outdoor adventure products and many other.
As we learned the cut stuff to include materials for the custom boating industry. These materials they work on range from –canvas, vinyl, wax canvas, Cordura nylon to very lightweight sail cloth.
Robin shared they are located at 605 S Lyons Ave, Suite 200----The company is owned by the Binder Family from Montana. They company is a start-up and began fulfilment of the flagship Binder Lift product in May  2023. They have 12 employees but are constantly looking to add. They have exported customers products to Canada and other US Territories.

They will be interesting to look to tin the days, weeks and months ahead.
Our It’s Your Agri Business Show—understands that agriculture is number one in South Dakota. We follow along—ask the questions—because we know there are those in our audience—that might just find what they want. Listen live to the show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9---use the KELO-App---Streaming on line –or just ask Alexa. Norm Anderson will post the show at a podcast---in this case it will be posted on June 4th----and feel free to use they notes as a guide to what is in the show and where to find it.
