   Our It’s YOUR Business Show---continued work with the Water Safety Lake Madison project and all water-ways across South Dakota. Joining us this morning was Stacy Gorman----who’s daughter Emmy was killed in a historic boating accident. Shouldn’t have happen---the driver was under-age and South Dakota didn’t have boating safety regulations that would have made a difference.

    Emmy’s death –and the push by businesses, church members, the legislature---has the change coming on July 1st—a week from tomorrow. It is designed for not only Lake Madison but all water-ways across South Dakota. We have been working with the family, Hillside Resort---all wanting to make a life-death difference on our waterways.

    Larry Kotten---has been working with us---along with Casey Crabtree and even Ace Hardware. We are working with the family---and our listening audience to name a meal they like in honor of Emmy---and today was the first day----and there were four winners. A variety of food suggestions to be name for Emmy ----from Hillside Resort. We’ll continue to take calls from our listeners—thru July 1st---the day the new law goes into effect.

    Luke Forney—owner of the Hillside Resort introduced the $25 gift card---for a winning dish---and we will work with leaving what happened in the memory of those that hear our show.

    It was Senate Bill 8 that passed the legislation in this past session. 

    Larry Kotten—keeps a close watch on what we are doing—how we are doing it---and we are all grateful for the callers that suggest deserts, egg sandwiches, mac and cheese and we hope many more. 

    Also in our Business Show today—one of our partners—Plains Commerce Bank---Gary Poppeke and Cameo Anders---they are the Planners---and at this time where we are hearing many our worried about social security, food, jobs, and if their farm business, or family store business will continue to exist. Having known Gary for a number of years I appreciate him and his Banking Team-helping people that worry about tomorrow—and do at least once if not several times a year to look at where they are—what could happen and get some help. Cameo has joined the team---and whether you are in business, agriculture, or aging---talk to someone who is good at helping you. Gary and Cameo are!!!
