Blog—June 16, 2025---10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business

Our It’s Your Business and It’s YOUR Agri Business shows leading up to July 1st—boating safety change in South Dakota—has been including in both 9-10 and 10-11 hours—the story on Lake Madison---that almost two years ago claimed the life of a 12 year old girl who fell off into the water and was killed with a Jet Ski—that then left the scene.

The family shared their concerns---and feelings about losing a daughter particularly with the existing law being far less safe that surrounding states.

Larry Kotten is helping us schedule the guests—orchestrate the stories---and help not only the family and the community come together but give other businesses a chance to be a part of the family togetherness.

Joe Evenson from Kingdom Capital talked with us in this show and will be talking with us a time or two more between now and July 1st. There story is something that Mr. Kotten can share---he knows them-and we will be work to tie together with Kelo-TV on Friday of this week.

Casey Crabtree joined us in this show as well as the 9:00---and as the lawmaker that helped get the legislation passed changing water safety in South Dakota---he continues to be our go-to-guy-today-tomorrow and beyond.

We know a lot of the businesses and leaders in Madison-----and there is no doubt---that July 1st will be a date that has to bring change to the wonderful waterways in South Dakota.

Brent Baloun---Plains Commerce Bank---talked about the planning for the farmers, businesses, and newly married and very worried senior couple that don’t know if they’ll lose their medi-care-medi-caid—not be able to enjoy their final years---and the newly married couples don’t know what to expect—or if they will be a casualty with the jobs they have.

Plains can help—and we enjoy promoting that they care---and are easy to ask.

Sarah Heinrich—had the GROWING Harvest Network----Matt Swenson the first look at the weeks growing crops—what is being sold at the market-place—and what to expect today, tomorrow and beyond.

The show also included the Rock Report with Jessie Fonkert---who with the leadership did some overside traveling and negotiating outside the United States last week.

Interesting discussion---- and good to have Rock following along with Jessie—who has been my friend for years.

Laura Edwards---had the update from the Climatologist Meeting in Kansas City. She and Justin Glisin---her counterpart in Iowa—were at the meeting and she shared what the consensus was –and where she believes weather wise we are headed in the “J” Months of the year.

Listen live to our show at 1320, 105.1, 107.9—use the KELO App—Streaming on Line or just ask Alexa.

Norm Anderson posts the podcast of the show—my job is to schedule the guests—ask the questions that matter---and engage them for future interviews as other events come along. I posted the Blog---that gives a short-course on what was in the show---and generally speaking what it follows or just ahead of.
