Blog—June 13, 2025—10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business
Our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show---on Friday the 13th—covered a lot of very important ground.
Darren Hefty—Ag PHD ---shares his ideas on national broadcasting sites on Friday afternoon. We have Darren join us in the 10-00 hour---and generally get the latest on scholarships, crops, and fields---what those in ag are hoping for—and how his brother and he have a great relationship—competing and working to tell what they are finding ---and who’s winning the best farmer in the family competition that has to be weekly. We thank them for all they do—and learn something each week.
Chris Bartmann-Gingerich Structures had just returned from Georgia-Florida with some water-time with his family. His tan gave him away---but he was talking about what he brings to the table—and we know he does because we hear from people the quality of his building, how he has 30 years experiencing customizing, he can give fast, accurate pricing to customers right away---a real art in 2025.
We followed along today—and I know when I start interviewing him that we have people out there wanting somebody with that kind of experience—and truly taking care of business attitude.
As we had done all week—we continued our work with Lake Madison---this weekend telling the story about the tragic death of a 12 year old girl---almost 2 years ago being hit by jet skies---and more. It took awhile but lawmakers, businesses, organizations, and family figured out a way to make sure this never happens again. Our show jumped in and we continue to tell the story that led up to Training Day tomorrow for the new law---that goes into effect on July 1st.
I can’t swim---and wouldn’t be on jet skies---or something that would move very fast. But I can orchestrate and we have done that with training day on Saturday----and the new law July 1st.
The guests that have joined us include legislators like Casey Crabtree, Tim Walberg and Daniel Buresch—that have important experiences in the training—passing the law—and encouraging this to get fixed—so it never happens again on any lake in South Dakota.
Joe Evenson---Smith’s Cove Community Event Planners helped us share what they are doing on July 5th---good businesses engaged—allowing for Complete Contracting Storage Condos, Electrified Equipment, Empire Motorsports, Kingdom Capital Fund, Lakes Golf Course, Lake Madison Development Association, Reaves Buildings, Smith’s Cove Storage and The Lakes Connection. People have come together---and we are more than obliged and want to tell the story to help lakes and waterways all over South Dakota.
Among those we talked to this morning---Joe Evenson---Smith’s Cove Community Event coming up on the 5th, Kip Rounds---SD Game Fish and Parks---
We’ll talk more about the safety side next week—and leading up to Friday July 4th.
We did check the morning commodities, Sarah Heinrich—had the Growing Harvest Network----we talked to Alla—who has been visiting with us for years having moved to South Dakota from Ukraine. With all the tragedies happening on that world stage---I can attest there are so many businesses in South Dakota that want to be able to hire the Ukrainians----who know how to work---and are hungry to do so.
Yes so much more to share leading up to the Law Change on July 1st—and how it will be received over the July 4th holiday.

Norm Anderson posts the show as a podcast---my side is to write the blog –after scheduling the guests—preparing the run lines---and helping them tell their stories.
