Our It’s YOUR Business Show for this Tuesday let us include a lot of
guests—some expected---some unexpected—but it helped us prepare
for the Sioux Empire Fair that is coming next week.
Sylvia Walters---a not so old friend---who 14 years ago had to decide
between Chicago and Sioux Falls for her Pipestone Discovery
Barn—for a farm show for her Minnesota animals and properties.
We are so happy they chose Sioux Falls---and we know that they will
be a bit hit again this year---and they will have thousands of fairgoers
visiting to meet farm animals, learn where their food comes from and
ask real questions about modern farming.

connect with our community and share your passion.
The show is August 1 st to the 9 th —as always—mother nature will
have some births that always attract kids of all ages---yes we’ll make
a stop there in August---and will visit with animal owners, kids—and
yes Sylvia Walters as well.
Interesting guest this morning Bart Pfankuch---South Dakota News
Watch. He turns out a journalistic work or two each week—and this
time we talked about the concerns that those of us in South Dakota
have (along with neighboring states) on what will happen the health
care with all the cuts being made.
Concerns include rural hospitals, nursing home facilities, medicare,
Medicaid---and just how what the White House is doing will affect
South Dakota---and surrounding states. Bart promised to continue to
watch the future---and see what it brings---- while hopefully holding
accountable—the South Dakota DC Delegation and others. The times
are going to be different---- and Bart will be talking as will we with
people on how they have been affected---and how this could end life
as we know it in the months and maybe even years ahead.
Third stop was with Brenda Dryer—they are doing a special event
on Friday—July 25 th beginning at 9am at Eden Acres near Alpena.
There will be a complimentary lunch---at this FREE EVENT—and
Brenda is encouraging folks to follow the link on your website and
social media to register for the event to help with planning and for the
exact address of Eden Acres with the event that begins at 9AM Friday.

Yes we will follow along in our Wednesday show tomorrow—and
hope to hear from Brenda Friday---at the event itself.
I’m so blessed that 605 Petals and Pines delivered some flowers to
me on Monday---7 or 8 beautiful colors---my only problem is that my
wife Carolyn made a trip to see her sister this week in Exira,
Iowa—and I want the flowers to stay alive until she gets back in a
couple of days. Wish me LUCK!!!
We had a chance in this show----to include South Dakota Farm
Bureau –talking about what they are doing—how the crops are
growing for their members---and what they plan to talk about in the
10-11 Monthly Farm Bureau Show.
We had a chance to visit with our friends in Beresford-----they are
having quite the event this week. We got some insight on it---
including a look at how this Sioux Metro Alliance Community will
celebrate—and certainly invite the other 18 or so communities to
come and be part of their throw-down later this week. I just attended
an event at another Sioux Metro Alliance Community in Hartford last
week. They too were on our show---and all have in common---they
praise how the Sioux Metro Alliance Communities work together for
not only fun events, big announcements and even working together
with the Legislature and those folks in DC.
