  Our It’s YOUR Business Show today as we approach the last 10 days of July---looked at events we should keep in mind –life or death with the Helpline Center -----and Julie Hammer Sioux Empire Fair as well as Candi Briley—the South Dakota State Fair.

  Lisa Ottmar and Mike Keller in the first half hour talk to us about the HELP LINE----and what we can do as support groups who’ve lost loved ones to suicide. 

  During the month of July –we have worked closely with this organization and have encouraged other media outlets to do the same.

  The latest numbers Lisa shared with us that 988 text and chat options that they have seen in the month. We will get an update on that number before the month ends on Thursday July 31st.

  988 is available 24/7 to offer immediate, confidential support to anyone experiencing thoughts of suicide, mental health or substance use challenges or any kind of emotional pain. 

  Scott Wilson—988 Director at the Helpline Center says Summer can be a difficult time for many young people who may be feeling isolated or overwhelmed---in essence they want youth to know that support is just a text or chat away—and you don’t have to face it alone.

   Mike Keller shared that the HELPLINE Center can help people that are stressed or on the verge or brink.

   If our show and other media can mention the help---we could same a life or three----and we should all be doing that in the summer time. We are and we encourage others.

   The Sean Astin Event in November is almost sold out---what a huge outpouring support from the community.

    Second half of the show---Julie Hammer—Sioux Empire Fair and Candi Briley---South Dakota State Fair—talked about fair events that begin in Sioux Falls next Friday---August 1st---and ends in Huron at the end of August.   

    Our It’s YOUR Business Show will be on the road with events thru August----Sioux Falls, Mitchell, and Huron----we look forward to visiting with those in agriculture-and talking with our listeners.
