Blog—July 2, 2025—9-10---It’s YOUR Business
Our It’s YOUR Business Show—in the 9-10 Hour Becomes the Working on Wellness Wednesday.
So in this show----we included some unique segments. Teri Schmidt—Experience Sioux Falls---led us to the 900 or so jump rope athletes that came to Sioux Falls----good for the athletes—boys and girls---and good for the parents—including Father/Daughter we talked to from Moscow, Idaho---that were new to Sioux Falls ---but enthused by all the saw.
The event brings the world’s top jump road athletes to Augustana University’s Elmen Center –thru Thursday.
9 different teams from across the country seem to be enjoying Sioux Falls----stories were shared about how Jessica Nicholson—President of the Jump Rope Federation for 20 years has seen if before and they are going to see how it works here. We had guests on Monday and Wednesday---and we were truly impressed.
Sue Thesenga---yes she is from Minnesota---had prompted me thru the years about the need to collect blood in the Dakotas thru the summer-time. To me it is a reminder of about giving the blood, where the blood is used and why you should be giving. Sue has been doing this for 14 years---and yes I helped do that years ago as head of South Dakota and Nebraska Blood needs with the Red Cross. Give if you can. PLEASE!!!
Dr. Joshua Jorde joined this morning---it was a good week to do that particularly when you look at July 4th—and know we are at an important part of the summer---kids are on vacation---some getting ready for fall sports---and others are plugged in. Funny his family from daughters to wife give him ideas on what he does with Jorde Chiropractic—
He has been doing this I think he said 14 years---he covers the young the old---those that need help----and sometimes people who are discovering chiropractic is a good place to turn.
For instance his grown daughter suggested the importance of stretching before something like hiking or other physical activity. Dr. Jorde suggested he would probably be adjusting her back soon.
Diet like adequate fruits and veggies –helps a lack of fiber when traveling.
We also talked with those involved with the change at Lake Madison---all the result of a 13 year old girl who was hit by a motor boat—3 years ago and died. The driver was just barely a teen---and the legislature is working to bring safety to the waterways—not only at Lake Madison but all over the state. We have talked with the mother, the father of the girl—her sister-and those that were part of the cast that was around when she died thru the accident. The community is behind it—we know that they are working to make a change—get training—and keep the waterways safe. What a nice collection of businesses, friends, professionals and good people of all ages to make a difference and change the setting so it never happens again.
Our It’s YOUR Business Show---and yes the Working on Wellness Wednesday---cover lots of ground—help lots of people—and diversifies our topics.
