Blog---July 15, 2025—9-10—It’s YOUR Business –Show 4903

   Our It’s YOUR Business Show covers business in the 9-10 hour and Ag Business in the 10-11 hour.

   This morning we started with Plains Commerce Bank’s Gary Popke and Cameo Anders---The Are the Planners---who help leads us with the Plains Commerce team—whether it be business or agriculture---or just providing PLANNING for our audience and their customers.

   With all the disagreements about spending---budget cuts—yes PLANNING---they with 8 banks or so around South Dakota—take care of rural and urban folks alike.

   As always we talk about the winds of the economy---blowing in ways that are disturbing for many. Whether it be a Doctor’s office, or those in business-----they listen and meet---and know that every story is a little bit different.

   The political winds blowing all around—are disturbing for all—and they are a good fit for our audience. Simple but important talk—is what we include.

   Monday and Wednesday in the 10:00 hour we provide updates in the agri-business show. We keep it informative and simple. Most importantly helpful!!!!

   We talked with leaders from upcoming fairs. Sioux Empire Fair with Julie Hammer which begins early August---and the South Dakota State Fair with Candi Briley. They work very hard on their events—but in South Dakota---fair leadership helps the State Fair---and we follow right along. Generally with live coverage from Sioux Falls and yes Huron. We have the same plans for 2025.

    9:32 in the show—we visited with Tyler Tordsen---President and CEO of the Sioux Metro Alliance. They have somewhere between 17-19 communities all working together. A nice feel for South Dakota—and they work together for labor, housing, and legislative matters. We follow right along. 

   One of the communities involved is Hartford---where we have lived for a number of years---and they have a big event coming up on Wednesday---and same day—the young lady that has organized the event and the Mayor Arden Jones will join us to invite people to come visit. We have been happy to have her with us---thru the last couple of weeks. What happens in our smaller but growing communities is a big deal--- and we’ll feature the Hartford leader who returned home along with Mayor Jones. 

   Our It’s YOUR Business Show can enjoy groups working together and actually serve as glue that makes a different---in this case—Hartford is important to the Sioux Metro Alliance, they consider me somewhat important to getting the word out about each community. The bottom line is that helps the communities, employers who need help---and can be unique to other areas of the country.
