It has been impressive and we are happy to have her and other family members—and South Dakota businesses talking to us about what they are doing and they do it…
We are only 4 days away from entering the 5th year of full scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, full scale war. The 4 year anniversary is hard to grasp, as it brings me back to the scary first days of war. At that time we were terrified and said, "What if it lasts for months". Now it's been going for years!
44 million people called Ukraine their home before 2022. The full scale invasion triggered the largest forced migration crisis since the WW2. About 7 million left Ukraine, and settled mainly in Europe. Only about 200,000 came to US because of the war. Another estimated 3 million people are displaced/evacuated from their homes in Ukraine, but chose to remain in Ukraine.
---we will continue to hear first hand of them—what they are hearing from Ukraine—and what those from Ukraine working in South Dakota are learning—
---------when we come back----we’ll check in with Mr. Tree—John Ball----and hopefully from one of our South Dakota or Iowa Climatologists---
