Blog---August 5, 2025—10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business
Our It’s YOUR Agri-Business Show is smack dab in the middle of the Sioux Empire Fair. Just a day before we salute agriculture---in South Dakota.
This show helped form the people that will be a part of the show Wednesday August 6th.
Mayor Paul Ten Haken, Congressman Dusty Johnson, Gentleman Ag Ace Jim Woster, Darren Hefty—Ag PHD---and Sylvia Wolters who is retiring with the Pipestone Discovery Barn---on our Fairgrounds. She could have picked Chicago---but chose Sioux Falls—and a dozen or so years later----we are so glad she did.
We did a little updating in this show---Chris Bartmann –Gingerich Structures talked about the heavy rains from last week and the damage that was done. Chris along with Kristi Merfield and team from Blackburn Basement Repair –talked with us 3 days last week about the damages and what they would be willing to do to help those hit. Chris was back on in this show---and Kristi Merfield---will update us from Blackburn on Friday.
Jim Woster-the Tri-State Neighbor set the stage for yesterday, today, and tomorrow in Agriculture. He’ll be part of the show---and we respect all that he does for so many.
Sioux Falls Mayor Paul Ten Hagen will join, Congressman Dusty Johnson will do the same.
Judd Heinzmann----was in the show—sharing Dakota Fest---and events they will be at this month. We’ll be with Judd and team in Mitchell at the event on Wednesday the 20th…
We closed the show with John Ball—updating on the trees---and Iowa Climatologist Justin Glisin sharing his take on the rain---where it was---where we are for the year----and what he sees thru the end of August.
Our It’s YOUR Business and Agri Business Shows---share story lines with help from people in agriculture and serving agriculture.
Norm Anderson posts the show as a podcast---my job is to schedule the guest, prepare and do the interviews –and then write the blog—for a wrap on what was in the show and where.
