August 26, 2026—10-11—It’s YOUR Agri Business Show—53-15

(((From the Blackburn Studios in Downtown Sioux Falls—Become a Blackburn Protected HOME—Show 53-15)))

  ((((YEE HAH))))

I’m Bill Zortman and welcome to our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show---Show 53-15 in our ORIGINAL IT’s YOUR Business Series.

Our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show---talks to the largest group in South Dakota---and we are always happy to share with our sponsors—our guests and so much more-----as it happens. In our Tuesday show—closing out the 9:00 hour---we included Doug Sombke----South Dakota Farmers Union-----just before the end of the 10:00 hour---which was the South Dakota Farm Bureau Monthly Show---why not---ag is big—ag has to work together---and we were more than happy—to bridge the gap from our show to Farm Bureau—with the long time Farmers Union leader.

Most broadcasters stay away from that ---but where we can bring people together---we should---and as long as I’m a part of this show—I’ll strive to pick topics we should talk about—and find ways to bring them together.

We picked Casey Crabtree a long time ago to help us bring our farm audience up-to-date to start the 10:00 hour----we don’t let him play politics----but he talks politics—and I keep him walking down the center of the highway.

-------------just a few days left in August----what should still happen and what about as we hit September?

-----------------------Casey-------------------

Last week Dakota Fest---coming up the South Dakota State Fair—and Brenda Dreyer—has been setting the stage---for the importance and the political football that our beef cattle have become….

-----------Brenda—share with us---what is ahead-----and the serious concerns about taking care of those that raise—feed---and share their beef-----

-----------------Brenda------------talk to us about the campaign you have been sharing with us and other media-----about what is at stake—and how people can get involved to make quite the difference---

-----------------Brenda-------------

We even got Congressman Dusty Johnson into the discussion yesterday with his parties president----and he didn’t cut the Washington chief any slack---he understands the importance of the beef situation----and he stood up for those with the cows----

-------that is important right now—wouldn’t you agree---

---------Brenda----------------------

What else should our listeners expect out of the state fair—cooking-recipes and having families coming together---

-------------------Brenda------------

We’ll talk to you more in future shows—

-----we’ll check in with Plains Commerce that was part of the Dakota Fest in Mitchell---and invite people with financial needs come see Plains ---and share what you need---Nolan Clark will share how they can really make a difference.

10:23/30---Ag Business 2

-----I learned a long time ago not only with almost 5300 farm shows here in Sioux Falls---but that there are good guys and good gals out there that can make a difference. Nice if the ones you are asking can help you in business---in agriculture—or other needs-----and that is the case with Plains Commerce Bank. Nolan Clark ---was in Mitchell for the Dakota Fest last week---and we have used this portal in the ag show to find out what was on their mind—and needs list to get them thru anything that could be a financial barbed wire---

------------Nolan ---talk to us—tell about the kind of requests you got---and how you can follow up at Plains Commerce?

----------------Nolan------------

Nolan Clark---Plains Commerce bank---

We’ll set the stage for Sarah Heinrich---Growing Harvest Network—next—stay with us---

---Matt Swenson----Swenson Commodities—joins us at the half way point for our Agri Business Shows---Matt what are you seeing in the market -place----mid-morning---

----Matt---------------

---people need numbers first thing in the morning or late in the day—can you provide them what they need with Swenson Commodities---

----------------Matt-----------------

Matt Swenson---thanks for the update-----in our Ag Business Hour—

One of the most busy ladies I know is Geri Eide—FFA of South Dakota---there was Dakota Fest—a week ago---no telling this week---and coming up ----after we climb into September—the South Dakota State Fair---where you are busy again---

Talk to us about the State Fair---what kind of support and planning are you going thru right now to make sure those in FFA are ready to make it all happen----

------------Geri-----------

How many FFA members do you have in 2026----

What kind of year has it been---and how much more in activities are ahead---

-----------------Geri------------(perhaps with a guest))

We appreciate –as I’m sure the parents do---all that you have done thru the years and certainly here in 2026----

------Geri Eide------keep up all the good work---

One of the regulars in our show that you –our audience enjoy listening to is Mr. Tree---John Ball----

-----Trees heading into September and fall---how are they doing---and what kind of year has it been for our trees----

-------------John Ball-----------------

I guess I was surprised after we exchanged messages this morning about you were watering the trees for WINTER-----

----------------John Ball-------------------

The kind of year it’s been for the trees------how have they done—which fared the best----and which would be best to plant with fall and winter coming ahead---

----------------John Ball-------------------

We know it’s important we promote our audience buying things—its how they make a living-----

Trees-where would you send them---and what should they know about the best time to buy----

-----------John Ball----------------

---we’ll take a break—come back—and see what else we can share—on our It’s YOUR Agri Business Show-----
