   The Remodelers were a bit busy in our MONTHLY Show today---

• Todd Boots—Past President of the SD Home Builders
• Steve Swenson—Handy Man
• Teddi Mueller Executive Director of the Home Builders Association
• Butch Warrington -Building Permit Chief—City of Sioux Falls
• Dave Kelly—Fairway Mortgage
• Casey Crabtree---Legislative Leader on Housing

     Mr. Kelly gave us some understanding on the finances-where we are –what is normal and what those looking and selling housing are up-against.

     Interest rates----8% may become a reality---adopt –or think about what you are doing and how you are doing it.

      More and more are studying—looking to make the best decision possible. Todd Boots and Steve Swenson weighed in as well---what people are doing to fix-up----or make the right decision at buying or selling. Interest rates are an issue---but there are options to remodel.

     Teddi Mueller-talked about the Fall Parade of Homes----coming up son September 9-10 and 16th and 17th---three featured homes on the Parade and 48 homes already registered from 32 builders.

     There are 12 projects registered and remodelers and landscapers are still registering.

     Butch Warrington---Building Permit Chief was talking about another 12 million this month but when you compare to the last two years—it is a far different scenario. Butch-Todd—and Steve talked about meetings with the city and those in the remodeling that are looking for ways to improve what we are doing-and how we are doing it.

     From the Legislative Side—Casey Crabtree talked with us about housing—agenda’s are being set—and projects are getting the attention in the summer sessions in Pierre. Housing is a key need in our State ----and while they are talking and doing something about housing—they are already looking to the 2024 Legislative Session.
