   Just one week to the April 15th filing deadline for Taxpayers—and Sioux Falls Award winning Tax and Bookkeeping Service ---Ness Tax with Tim Ness—took 8 calls in our hour long show wondering about filing taxes and what is going on with the 2024 returns that have to be filed by April 15th. You can request an extension---but you still have to pay.

     Yes there are longer office hours during the tax season---his team has been schooled---and is customer friendly. And it comes that a time that Uncle Sam is looking at Electronically filing beginning in September. That won’t be popular with those that don’t quite understand how to go on line to pay and to file. But we talked about some options that are there that could have a member of your family—helping you file electronically. 

     We are still asking can tariffs replace the income tax in future years? No telling and it could depend on who’s in the White House----and in Congress to make that decision that could be terrifying for those older.

     Mr. Ness said they are ahead of schedule from a year ago on filing for their clients----and he does all this as he also helps those from as many as 40 states file their state income tax. Of course South Dakota is among the handful of states that doesn’t gather state income tax---but it takes a well trained staff to know the in’s and outs of so many state returns. South Dakota is getting more and more people that want to live here---but still have the state tax income tax to pay. 

     Tim spent years working for the IRS----and he learned what to do—how to do it---and his team is trained in that direction right now as the April 15th deadline approaches. State Tax filing vary. 

      Yes Ness tax is still taking clients----even with the April 15th deadline. Need to get it done---Ness Tax can do it.
