Blog---April 16, 2025—9-10—Holy Week Wednesday

9-10 on Wednesday is traditionally for Working on Wellness Wednesday but on this week---we made it Holy Week Wednesday.

We shared with the audience---how a Catholic Priest—who came from Ethiopia  ----now serving as St. Michaels in Sioux Falls and St. George in Hartford has asked me to help him be better from the alter with his sermons and language during mass and other events.

He asked me during lent---and shared he had heard me reading at the alter---and wanted my help. I couldn’t say no.

I said yes----and we have worked once a week and parishioners including Mary Michaels have said he has improved and it has made a difference.

So with that behind me—and continuing---it made me think of how I had helped with that—and with a Montrose Family that had a 1 ½ old girl that was needing help and they had a cup of coffee and a donut with us after mass at in Hartford at St. George. I had the drug store professional join us who helped us schedule two visits on the show----and Erick Grocott –pharmacist representing the family---and shared that our help brought out more people from Sioux Falls and an area covering 60 – 80 miles. I was pleased we shared they were still utilizing Reliabank—too---and that the family was pleased with the results.

So I was all in on helping that family---Our Catholic Priest that just wanted voice help---and that this Lenten Season—I had followed what I needed to do.

So we did this Holy Week Wednesday Show---included the Passion Cross—the Passion musical—and Brent Grosvenor explained the event with 4 nights left at the Orpheum---and how people would come to the event. It’s the 5th year here—and a reminder of what Christ went thru—and why we should pay attention year around but especially at Easter time.

The Passion Musical runs 2 hours and 7 minutes---and is an enchanting journey that brings family together and close to the message of Christ and his kingdom on Earth. We were happy to have the discussion---and event runs thru April 19th.

We shared the information about Friday’s Prayer Breakfast at the Best Western Ramkota Exhibit Hall. Kevin and Bree Bailey—help us understand that marriages don’t always work without a little or a lot of tweaking. They’ll share their break—but decided they would get back together if Christ was a part of their lives. Now they ae committed to showing others that legacy isn’t defined by what you accumulate or achieve outside the home—its found in building a Spirit-led culture within your home. They will be part of our show after the breakfast Friday morning.

Jen McGowan---Operation Hope—and Vice President of Levo Credit Union---shared how they have raised $127,800 for assistance to Sioux Falls Schools. This year it was a little harder---as the Storm were not going to have a season this year---but they offered the use of Air Madness for a fundraiser over $10,000. It’s the third year of the fundraiser and each year the attendance has doubled. Jen said they raised $18,861.21—less than last year---but the second highest amount raised thru Operation Hope and Caring.

Mary Michaels was our 4th Holy Week Wednesday guest. She represents AARP—is a part of the Choir where Father Andy is based—and shared on the air that she has noticed his improvement to speaking to the church congregation. She gave me some of the credit---but it was something the Lord helped both Mary and I and the people in the churches understand he is working on his speech and will continue to get better.

We talked as well that the April Scam Updates are sharing how to fly the friendly skies and avoid scammers. The deadline is coming—in fact it’s almost here. Beginning May 7th—airline passengers need an enhanced driver’s license known as Real ID—or a passport to board the plane. Beware—she shared—anytime there is a deadline, there will also be scams.

Our special It’s YOUR Business Show today—that gave those in the medical circles the Easter week off---was happy to include opportunities to be a part of churches—programs—pageants—and keeping your family together.
