This is here After, and I'm your host, Megan Divine, author of the best selling book It's Okay that You're Not Okay Now. I have spent the last ten years writing and speaking pretty much living and breathing grief, the kind of grief that makes the whole world dissolve. My book's got hundreds of thousands of people talking about that kind of grief and what it really takes to survive and to care for each other when life goes horribly wrong. So when I tell you that I love conversations with interesting people about difficult things, I mean it. The tough stuff is my happy place. Weird as that might be to say, Hereafter is the place for those conversations. And there are a lot more fun than you might think. It's season two of the show. There's a lot going on lately, which is an understatement, from personal losses to bigger collective sweeps of let's just call it, let's call it big collective sweeps of awful things. Right, everything is a lot. It's a really human thing to hope things will get better, even when you're not sure how they possibly could. So this season on Hereafter with me Megan Divine, we go looking for hope. Now, not that like airy fleaky hoping for the best kind of hope trash. I'm talking about the kind of hope you get from telling the truth about how hard things are, the hope you get from keeping your eyes open and refusing to let your heart shut down. Real world hope with guests from the front lines of grief, loss, trauma, education, and activism. There's so much survival in the show in this season. Hereafter with Megan Divine is how you would imagine the coolest dinner party ever might be, with conversations that leave you feelings seen, heard, and even a little inspired to head back out into the world to have your own conversations about difficult and hopeful things. Crowdsourced hope is the only hope We've got. Friends with new shows every Monday, Hereafter with Megan Divine is the place to be.
