Levy Schneider was born and grew up in Israel to Holocaust survivors. He served in the IDF as an officer and studied Practical Engineering of Electronics. He combined his love of agriculture and technology at Motorola where he specialised in computerised irrigation and digital farming.
After Motorola he served as the CEO of Netafim in South Africa since 1992 and Netafim Australia since 2005. In 2023 Netafim acquired a Digital Farming company in Melbourne named Square One Laboratories, at which time Levy decided to step down as the CEO of Netafim ANZ and manage Square One Laboratories. He remains very Israeli at heart.
