RISING is an intimate window into a society grappling with trauma and the people rising to protect its moral compass and democratic foundations.

For years people around the world have been exposed to images
of war and destruction from Israel. RISING reveals the largely unseen story of more than one million Israelis protesting against the current far-right government fighting to defend democracy, stop the endless war, and preserve humanity under extraordinarily difficult circumstances.

I interviewed the film's writer/director/producer Esther Takac.
