I believe that mental health recovery is just one small part of a healing spectrum.
Things get better when we experience;
expression, voice, identity, community, wisdom, equity.
The best meeting place for all of these elements, is the arts.

We unpack her experience growing up in the 1970's with Autism in Wales and how the influence of a family that believed in the negative side of Aliens brought her into the world of experienceing complex mental health trauma alongside how society shuns people who show neurological differences. In and out of psyche wards made Heidi determined to practice life throughthe lens of teh social model of disability that celebrates the mental capacity needed to be neuro spicy through the arts.
She founded Schitzy Inc which houses Creative projects and events centre artists with diverse complex mental health such as schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and other interconnecting realities relating to complex trauma, social barriers and disadvantage.
Schizy Inc is an optimistic professional arts organisation that produces possibly the best and most fun public event in the entire world for World Schizophrenia Day (May 24).
