Gauteng-The City of Tshwane is investigating more than 140 reported cases of diarrhoea in the Bronkhorstspruit area, with most patients treated at Bronkhorstspruit Hospital. The city has intensified water quality testing at the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant amid concerns over a possible link between the reported cases and the water supply. The Executive mayor of the City of Tshwane cautioned residents against drinking the water as investigations continue to establish the cause of the illnesses. The city is working to determine whether water quality may be contributing to the outbreak. Residents are urged to follow the latest guidance from the municipality and health authorities while investigations continue.

Gauteng-The family of the late City Press reporter, Nompumelelo Magagula is mourning the loss of their loved one, while questions surrounding the circumstances of her death remain a concern. her mother, Thembi Mthimunye says Magagula was brought by her boyfriend already dead to her home. The 30-year-old City Press entertainment journalist died on 15 March 2026. Her death left behind a grieving mother and a young daughter.
