In part two of her conversation with Gary Jubelin, missing persons advocate and author Nicole Morris calls out clairvoyants and psychics, exposing the very real trauma caused by false hope. The pair discuss why all missing persons should be treated as homicides until proven otherwise, how dangerous assumptions made early in an investigation can derail justice and leave families without answers for years, and call for better resourcing and a national approach to missing persons investigations.

Tim breaks down his final border run, clearing the trees by two feet at 100 miles an hour, not realising he’d been spotted from above and the moment on landing: “Mr. Smith, we’ve been waiting for you for quite a while. Welcome to the United States.”

From there the fall is fast: told he was facing a minimum of 87 years and a maximum of 113 years, hit with 36 counts, and a first night in US custody he describes as sheer terror.

Before Married at First Sight, Tim Smith smuggled $100K in marijuana per helicopter run across the US/Canada border, until prison and devastating loss changed everything.

Tim Smith is best known as a groom on season 11 of Married at First Sight Australia, but that's arguably the least interesting chapter of his story.
