The following evening, Zenobia was found deceased inside a garbage can in an alley just blocks from her home. How she ended up there, and what happened before she was found, have not been publicly established. Her cause and manner of death have not been announced, and no one has been charged in connection with her death.

The months after JoAnn left home remain unexplained, and no arrest has been announced in her case.
