Just steps from her front door, she was shot during what prosecutors would later describe as an attempted robbery. Investigators soon linked multiple individuals to the case, connecting them to a series of crimes that same morning. In 2026, one of the men charged pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 55 years in prison, marking a significant development in the case. But for Aréanah’s family, the loss remains unchanged.
