This myth theory presents the view that the story of Jesus is largely mythological, and has little basis in historical fact. It is a fringe theory supported by a small group of dedicated, active and vocal scholars and mythicists who argue that in the Gospels a fictitious historical narrative was imposed on a mythical cosmic savior figure.
