Colin Mullaney and Sam Foat discuss what drew Sam into school leadership, his experience in the Hillsdale School Leader Fellowship program, and how it helped prepare him for his new role. Colin is senior director of leader support for Hillsdale College’s K-12 Education Office, while Sam is the director of new schools at Liberty Classical Schools, completed the School Leader Fellowship program during the 2025-26 academic year, and had previously served as a teacher and school administrator at a Hillsdale-affiliated school.
