Guess what, Matt, You're mad and I'm not.
Then when you say that when you're a kid, Well, I already told you this, but I want to tell everyone else this. I got to give a shout out to a Scroller because I was driving down from Newcastle to Sydney last night because it came here last night and I was sitting at the lights. I was still like in nui and I looked over to my left and the lady or girl in the car next to me was like looking at me through her window, and I like kind of looked away because I was like, oh, you know, yeah, sometimes you just awkwardly look at someone of the lights and then you just awkwardly look away.
Yeah.
I instantly think when it's someone like around my age, like I wonder if she knows me kind of thing, because they just look at you in a different way and then I looked over again and her window was fully down and she was looking at me, so I put down my passenger window and then she just yelled out, I'm listening to high scrollers right now, like one are the odds of that? And she was listening to our episode about Susan Boyle. She's like, my husband's got a Susan Boyle on his neck right now. And I was like, nice to meet you, and then we drove off. It was just so funny. I know we've spoken about like when we meet scrollers out in the wild, and I've met people out and about foot before, but never like you know, in the car, yeah, when they're listening to an episode.
So I just want to give.
A shout out to that lovely lady for saying hello to me. Made my afternoon.
You know where I met so many scrollers a few weeks ago?
Where did you.
Yes your concert? Which, by the way, I must just say quietly apologized to all who interacted with me that night. I don't know what happened, but I had too many drinks too fast, like on the way to Okay, So I never drink at a concert, like I don't actually think I've ever done that festival, sure, but like it's.
Too busy at a concept and there's too much going on. You don't want to leave to go to the bar.
Yeah, Like I don't think I've ever gotten drunk to like see an artist, but I mean it's Kesher, come on, like it was, you've got to So I drank before Kesha and I got so incredibly wasted that I just know I was the most annoying person in the room, Like I had never danced like I danced before. I'm trying to film everything, but my hands are shaking. You should see the videos. I'm screaming at the top of my lungs. I'm shouting all the lyrics. I'm jumping all over the place, like it was actually unhinged, Like how did you.
Hear about the Kesher concert? Because I didn't know she was coming to Australia. And I saw you like the day before, a couple of days before, and you're like, I'm going Kesha this Friday or whatever it was. And then I was like, I didn't know she was coming here. And then I saw all the tiktoks popping up, like of everyone posting Kesha and all the comments were.
I didn't know she was playing here, Like how did you hear about it?
So there was like no promo whatsoever from I think.
It was any marketing and was like every ticket sold out, No.
Not for a while. So I accidentally stumbled across the concert trying to find I think Katy Perry tickets or something. So when Katy Perry tickets went on sale, okay, I think I accidentally saw Kesha, Like what the bloody hell is this? Then I was like and More theater, which you know, I want to say ten years ago when I went to Kesha for the first time, she was at the Howden Pavilion.
What's in more theaters?
Like it's in Newtown. It's usually where like you'd go and see like a Joel Creasy, Like it's it's about two thousand seats, okay, and most of it's that there's a lot of like live music, but like I don't know to me, and More theater just gives like comedy show vibes because I've seen so many comedians there and I haven't been too many like artists there. And then the second so she was at hart And Pavilion that was five thousand capacity, and that was when she first was a thing. Then she came back for the Rainbow Tour or whatever that was called, and that was at the ICC, which I think is like eight and a half capacity. Yeah, and now she did the end More, which was two thousand capacity, and.
She could do a way bigger like not arena, but I feel like she could do a way bigger venue if her team did the marketing.
Yeah, because I didn't hear about it. She was here for the Australian Open. Oh, she was here for the Australian Open, was she?
Because I feel like if she went to like a way bigger thing and did some good marketing and advertising, she could sell out a fucking small stadium. Yeah, easily, because I would have loved to have gone.
But I had no idea.
Well, yeah, the tickets sold so slow for and More. I was Kesha and More, there's gonna be no tickets left. And then I was like, when did these tickets go on sale? I couldn't figure that out, but they must have been on sale for a while. And then it was like six weeks later and my friend was like, I said, I'm going to Kesha and he was like, oh, yeah, I want to come, and I was like, buy a ticket, and so he was able to buy a ticket, they still weren't sold out, Like no one was talking about it. She posted one photo to her Instagram about it, but to be fair, it was like, if you look at the photo, you've got no idea it's a concert, let alone in Australia. Like it's just the marketing for it was so strange. I saw no sponsored ads. I didn't hear about it anywhere. It was like it was just a really strange thing. And also for her song like joy Ride to be so popular at the time that tickets were on sale, yeah, it was baffling to me. But anyway, I had the best night ever. But I just wanted to say to all the Scrollers that I met.
Oh, yes, so true.
I don't know.
This is the picture.
That's you don't know that that's a concert, right, No?
And the text is so small at the bottom. Yeah, she'd be like Sydney in massive writing.
Also, she when we bought because I just bought the ticket straight away because I was like, well, who kesha? Love her like and let me tell you like up there with one of my top concerts ever. But probably because I was so drunk and just dance mytitself all night but still like up there with one of the best nights ever. It cured me. Honestly, I was not having a good week last week, like if I'm honest, like I was not. I was not coping with life, and I don't know what was going on, but I was just like depress on Martini and Kesha just she just brought me back to life, like she breathed new life into me, and I feel great again. Anyway, So when I bought the tickets, it said on it, like it was real weird. It said something like Kesha will be performing a DJ set and singing a handful of her most popular songs. So we'd already bought the tickets and then saw that little piece of information and me and my friends are like, oh, like she doing this. She's doing a DJ set and a couple of hits. She's probably gonna sing like three songs, Like this is so disappointing. So we really went into it with no idea what to expect. Then the day before they like texted us and they were like doors open at six, I think, And then it was like one DJ at seven, one DJ at eight, one DJ at nine and then ten pm kesher and I was like, ten pm. I'm like, she's coming on stage at ten pm. And then I thought to myself, you know, surely the end more probably has like an eleven pm curfew, or even maybe eleven thirty. I was like, she's really not going to sing that many songs, and I will admit she didn't. She was on stage for barely forty five minutes. She sung all her big hits. You know, there were a few she missed, like yeah, blah blah blahs and stuff. But I wish she gave us like a bit more range in the songs because it was just like banger after banger after banger her doing take it Off, and it was like a little bit of a sped up version of take it Off. Oh my god, ifange that, like literally I feel like I had an out of body experience and a sent to the heavens, like it was fucking wild, and the whole room just going absolutely fucking mental. Like I can't even describe it to you. Anyway, She sung like the TikTok and the take it Off and that we are who we are and joy ride and all the rest of it, and then she did her like she did praying as well, so she did have like a slow moment there, But like I just wanted a few like random little songs that like only the real fans know, because I would have sung my fucking heart out. In fact, her new song Delusional, which is so good and I love it. I felt like I was on the other I was the only one in the crowd singing, like I feel like I was the only one around me in my.
Section knew the worst old bangers.
Of course, I'm so drunk and going, yeah, I'm a super fand you're the lets and now like going, I'm the only one here who knows the lyrics. You're all fake fans. But yeah, although I said all this to say sorry, if you met me scrollers at the Kesh concert or afterwards in the car park where I was trying not to throw up, then I'm just really sorry because that is not a true reflection of who I am. Like I'm not kidding, it was so bad, Like I just think I think that people would have thought that I was on drugs that night, Like I think that people would have thought that, but obviously not just like drunk.
So that's your statement.
That's my statement. Yeah, but it was one of those nights because actually no, we went out to Universal after that and I saw another scroller at Universal at the club and she goes, are you on it? And I was like, do you mean on drugs? And she's like yeah, and I'm like no, this is just me drunk, babe. They just like, Eh, I'm just trying. I'm just fucking turned. And I'm like, also, it's a Wednesday. Are we really doing drugs on a Wednesday?
Who knows?
It's a whole new world out there. Dull Aladdin ubs, let's go anyway. I don't think I have anything more else to say. It's what about you. You've not said a fucking thing.
Thanks everyone for having me here today.
