Life is tough as f*ck when you’re a kid
And you get slapped on with an illness you’re not ready for.
Kids in school won’t understand what you’re going through
They’ll make fun of you,
Call you names
And do all sorts of mean stuff that you never deserved at all.
This kind of story is something that Liam Murphy is no stranger to.
At the age of 11, he was diagnosed with gynecomastia
And it sucked out the joy out of his childhood.
When that happens to guys at that age
Their self esteem takes a massive hit,
They give up on themselves, and lead a life full of depression that will last for ages.
But what made the young Liam a savage
Was taking action into his desire to get better and not let his illness define him.
As early as highschool, he decided to change his eating habits
Get up at 5 in the morning to run across the beach before heading to class
Drank more water, took care of his gut and sleeping habits.
He simply became his own mentor.
Liam is doing way better now and these decisions he made in his early years
Made a great influence on how he approaches life today.
He’s a big believer in setting standards for ourselves,
How practicing gratitude and self love can make a world of difference for us.
These values that he lives by are what makes him an excellent coach in my team.
So if you happen to think you’ve got it bad at the moment
