King David, the author of the 23rd Psalm, knew both- what it was like to be a shepherd, and what it was like to be a sheep. Sheep tend to have a reputation for being- what’s the polite way to say this?- Not the sharpest tool in the shed. But- the irony of this is that studies show sheep are quite intelligent. They build relationships, stick up for each other, and mourn the loss of their friends.
