The fire of Your coming, the glory of Your presence will shake the earth — and every heart will know You are Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Lion of Judah, the God of Israel.

Shalom! After a wonderful season of the appointed times, this episode focuses on the Tabernacle and its profound connection to Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles. Rabbi takes us through Exodus 25–40, showing how God gave precise instructions for building the Tabernacle so His glory could dwell among His people. When the children of Israel finished their work in obedience, the cloud of Adonai filled the tent of meeting—a powerful picture of God’s presence and protection.

The teaching then moves from the physical Tabernacle to its fulfillment in us. Through Scriptures like Jeremiah 31, John 14:23, 1 Corinthians 3:16, and Ephesians 2:20–22, we see that once we receive Yeshua, God creates a home for holiness within us. We are now the living temple where the Ruach HaKodesh dwells. Sukkot reminds us to prepare our hearts, minds, and spirits for intimate fellowship with the Lord and to rejoice because God tabernacles with His people.

HEART OF THE MESSIAH - THE IMPORTANCE OF TABERNACLES

The fire of Your coming, the glory of Your presence will shake the earth — and every heart will know You are Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Lion of Judah, the God of Israel.

Shalom! As we move through the fall appointed times, this episode focuses on Yom Kippur and Sukkot. Rabbi takes us through Leviticus 16 and Hebrews 9 to show how the High Priest’s atonement on Yom Kippur finds its ultimate fulfillment in Yeshua, who entered the heavenly Holy of Holies once for all by His own blood. We also look at key Hebrew Scriptures (Isaiah 53, Isaiah 59, Ecclesiastes 7) that help us share this truth with Jewish friends.

The teaching then turns to Sukkot—the Festival of Booths, the Festival of Ingathering, and the Time of Our Rejoicing. Learn about the water-drawing ceremony, Yeshua’s powerful declaration of living water in John 7, the prophetic picture of the nations celebrating Sukkot (Zechariah 14), and why these biblical feasts are for every believer who loves God’s Word.

HEART OF THE MESSIAH - ABUNDANT BREAD OF SALVATION – MINISTRY IN ISRAEL WITH BRIAN SLATER

The fire of Your coming, the glory of Your presence will shake the earth — and every heart will know You are Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Lion of Judah, the God of Israel.

Shalom! We shift from our Journeying with God series to prepare our hearts for the biblical fall appointed times (Moedim) found in Leviticus 23. This episode centers on Rosh Hashanah, known biblically as Yom Teruah – the Day of Blowing.

Rabbi explains the true meaning of this holy day, the themes of Malchiot (God’s kingship), repentance, the Book of Life, and the call to a sweet new year. We explore the many scriptural reasons for blowing the shofar – assembling before God, proclaiming freedom, spiritual warfare, praise, warning of judgment, and pointing to the return of Yeshua (1 Thessalonians 4 and Matthew 24). The message challenges us to declare Yeshua as King of our hearts and to live under His authority.

📖 Want the free teaching materials on the shofar, mikvah, or spiritual warfare, or the Holy Days calendar? Call 813-831-5673 or email rabbi@heartofmessiah.org.

HEART OF THE MESSIAH - ROSH HASHANAH

As we prepare our hearts for the upcoming High Holy Days—Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot—we turn our focus to a vital spiritual step: mikvah ( immersion or baptism). In this episode, we explore the deep biblical roots and rich spiritual significance of the mikvah, tracing its meaning from creation and the days of Noah to the immersion of Yeshua (Jesus) in the Jordan River.

We dive into what it truly means to go beneath the living waters: a moment of spiritual cleansing, repentance, public testimony, and complete recommitment to God. Discover how the root of mikvah connects directly to tikvah (hope), offering a powerful picture of death, rebirth, and resurrection life. Whether you are considering immersion for the first time or seeking a fresh beginning in a new season of life, tune in for an insightful teaching, scriptural reflection, and a special worship song centered on the cleansing grace of God.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

The true biblical and linguistic meaning of mikvah and its connection to tikvah (hope).

Why Yeshua’s immersion in Matthew 3 serves as our ultimate model and order of faith.

Surprising historical and RABBINIC perspectives on immersion, rebirth, and spiritual transformation.

Meaningful reasons believers may choose to be re-immersed during key life transitions and new seasons.

Details on upcoming Holy Day services and congregational immersion opportunities.

HEART OF MESSIAH - IMMERSION - STEP 7

The fire of Your coming, the glory of Your presence will shake the earth — and every heart will know You are Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Lion of Judah, the God of Israel.

Shalom! We continue our series Journeying with God. After receiving Yeshua, learning to trust His Word, walking in obedience, developing a heart for God, prioritizing prayer, and cultivating a heart for giving, Step 6 addresses a critical part of the journey: spiritual warfare.

Rabbi teaches that every believer is engaged in a real spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. Drawing from Ephesians 6:12, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Isaiah 54:17, and other Scriptures, we learn that our struggle is not against people but against spiritual forces in the heavenly places. The message emphasizes the need for a disciplined mind, a heart aligned with God’s ways, the power of the Ruach HaKodesh, and the consistent declaration of God’s Word. Practical helps include lists of 51 biblical character traits and 49 sins to help us stay in right standing with the Lord, plus sample declarative prayers for victory.

HEART OF THE MESSIAH - SPIRITUAL WARFARE - STEP 6

The fire of Your coming, the glory of Your presence will shake the earth — and every heart will know You are Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Lion of Judah, the God of Israel.

Shalom! We continue our series Journeying with God. After receiving Yeshua, learning to trust His Word, walking in obedience, developing a heart for God, and prioritizing prayer, Step 5 focuses on a heart for giving. Rabbi teaches that generosity is both an expression of faith and evidence of a transformed heart.

From Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek in Genesis 14, to the powerful promises in Malachi 3, Proverbs, 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, and Luke 6:38, we see that God looks at the heart of the giver. Learn why “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” how God promises to open the windows of heaven, and why cheerful, willing giving brings joy, blessing, and spiritual growth. The message also clarifies the difference between tithing to your local congregation and giving offerings to support ministries like this radio program.

HEART OF MESSIAH - A HEART FOR GIVING - STEP 5

Shalom! We continue our series Journeying with God. After receiving Yeshua, learning to trust His Word, and walking in obedience, Step 4 focuses on the powerful call to prayer. Rabbi teaches that prayer is not only how we build a relationship with God, but also the evidence of our faith (Hebrews 11:6). We examine the common barriers that keep us from praying—busyness, discouragement, lack of sleep, and even a judgmental spirit toward group prayer—and look to Yeshua’s example in Gethsemane and His prayer for unity in John 17.

This episode also highlights the transforming power of corporate prayer (inspired by the Brooklyn Tabernacle story) and includes a heartfelt intercession for our nation, the upcoming elections, Israel, and revival. A free Prayer Card for the month of Elul is available to help guide your daily prayers.

HEART OF MESSIAH - A HEART FOR PRAYER - STEP 4

Shalom! We continue our series Journeying with God. After receiving Yeshua and learning to trust God and His Word (Step 1), this week we focus on Step 2: Obedience. Rabbi teaches that the evidence of a changed life is marked by obedience, which flows from God’s love for us (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) and is not burdensome (1 John 5:3).

We look at powerful biblical examples — Abraham’s complete trust and obedience in Genesis 22, and Saul’s partial obedience in 1 Samuel 15 where “to obey is better than sacrifice.” The message emphasizes that real obedience requires specific sacrifice and surrender of our will, speech, emotions, and even our countenance. Drawing from John 15 and Matthew 16:24, we are challenged to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Yeshua so that His joy may be in us.

HEART OF MESSIAH - BE OBEDIENT TO GOD - STEP 2

The fire of Your coming, the glory of Your presence will shake the earth — and every heart will know You are Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, Lion of Judah, the God of Israel.

Shalom! We continue our new series Journeying with God with Step 1: Trusting God and His Word. After receiving Yeshua, the next vital step is learning to trust Him fully — especially when life gets difficult. Rabbi shares why trust doesn’t always come naturally, but it grows as we know God’s faithful character through Scripture.

Hear encouraging verses like Proverbs 3:5-6, Romans 8:28, Psalm 28:7, Isaiah 26:3, and more, plus practical ways to build trust: dwelling on God’s promises, declaring them, and choosing to live life “His way” even when emotions say otherwise.
This foundational teaching will help you overcome doubt, anger, and fear while experiencing the benefits of a trusting relationship with the Lord.
