In Session 3 of our summer study, Ken Sims (Deacon at Riverside Campus) shares about lost sons being found and adopted sons being assured. With application from the parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15), we see how the spiritually dead are now alive—we are sons and members of God’s household, receiving the blessings and benefits of adoption (Ephesians 1:3-6). Stronger men run home to the Father and help other lost sons and brothers do the same. This study covers Weeks 4 & 5 of Son: Set Free to Love.

The Old Testament ends with a need: for the hearts of fathers and children to be turned to each other (Malachi 4:5-6). And this is ultimately met through the person and work of Christ, who provides redemption for our greatest need (1 Peter 1:18-19). If we want to reverse the curse, we need to: Revive (restore the men), Revere (fear the Lord), and Redirect (your past doesn’t determine your future). This study covers Weeks 2 & 3 of Son: Set Free to Love.
