The overall aim for this program is to engage and entertain children who have vision loss to support their lifelong literacy and learning through storytelling, activities and more. It’s produced and presented by Geraldine, Rebecca, Kate and Jo at the Vision Australia Radio studios in Perth. This week our Happy Pants team talks about all the different creatures that (sometimes noisily) go about their business while you're trying to sleep... perhaps they'll be less scary next time your hear them, because you'll know what they are!

Think... the neighbour's dog. The local kangaroo family hop hop hopping in the front yard. The possums having an argument in the tree outside your window. You'll hear some of these sounds, plenty of music and of course a story.

Did you know that the longest word in the English dictionary has a whopping 45 letters?! That's nearly an entire sentence in one word! Tune in this week to hear Geraldine attempt to say it.

This week our happy pants team will be consulting the dictionary more than once, because it's an episode all about words, and the wonderful ways they can amuse us and help us to express ourselves. You'll hear a story, some music and perhaps learn a new word or two!
