Lee Hall joins The Greg and Dan Show to talk about his dear friend, Brian Dennison, who is a full-time solo artist. Dennison is currently dealing with health problems and large hospital bills because of it.

A benefit concert to help fundraise for Dennison’s hospital bills is on Sunday, February 26th at the Bartonville American Legion from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM featuring local bands such as Solo Sonics, Mixtape Mayhem, Revel in Red, and more. Tickets $10 for adults and $5 for children including a full meal.

Greg and Dan talk to Stacy Peterson, Communications Director for the City of Peoria, and Jenni Davis, Manager of the Peoria Public Library, about the company “Scripps,” the organization behind spelling bees across the country. They highlight how regional sponsors help send one talented student to Washington D.C. in May to compete in the national Scripps Spelling Bee. Schools are encouraged to sign up through Scripps by January 31st at www.spellingbee.com to participate.

They wrap up by sharing their own childhood spelling bee memories and the importance of supporting academic competitions for young students!
