Punks in Peoria

Former journalist Kirk Wessler stops by The Greg and Dan Show to preview his debut album, “Homestyle Acoustic by Kirk Wessler,” to be released on Saturday, April 20th. 

An album release party is scheduled for April 20 from 1-4 PM at Third Chance Bar and Lounge. The event is free admission and will include live performances of the album and special guest musicians.

Wessler details his inspiration behind writing and recording the album, his lifelong passion for music, and how to get the record on release day.

Troy Rudd and Deanna Zimmerman join The Greg and Dan Show to discuss the Taylor Rudd Foundation Inaugural Event on Friday, April 19th at the Par-A-Dice Hotel. 

Rudd and Zimmerman talk about the legacy of their daughter Taylor, why they decided to start the Foundation, and what to expect from the first fundraiser event.

Proceeds of this event contribute to the Foundation’s mission of assisting families in need by alleviating the financial burden associated with funeral expenses for their departed children.

Inaugural Taylor Rudd Foundation Event to Honor Legacy & Assist Families with Financial Burden of Funeral Expenses

The Greg and Dan Show speaks with Dr. Channing Petrak of the Pediatric Resource Center (PRC) about National Child Abuse Prevention Month throughout the month of April. 

Petrak says that the PRC will treat a record number of patients in 2024. 

The PRC is a community service program of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria and provides direct services to suspected child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect in a child-friendly manner and setting.
