Greg and Dan talk to Dr. Max Lakes, Director of the Peoria Zoo, about the recent passing of one of the oldest spider monkeys in the nation, Butch (53). He shares how Butch’s much younger partner, Darla, is grieving, and how the zoo has welcomed three new spider monkeys (two females and one male, around 2.5 years old) to eventually help Darla heal, socialize, and bring out her nurturing side!
