Greg and Dan talk with Mary Jo (MJ) Shettler, Executive Director of Peoria Promise, and Jim Ardis, longtime advocate and former mayor of Peoria, about the lasting impact and ongoing mission of Peoria Promise.

Peoria Promise is a locally funded scholarship program that provides tuition assistance for Peoria-area students to attend Illinois Central College (ICC). Since its founding in 2008, the program has supported over 3,000 students, helping them pursue higher education without the burden of overwhelming debt.

MJ and Jim discuss the program’s legacy, its importance to the economic and social vitality of the Peoria community, and how it creates a pathway to success for local youth. They also highlight the community partnerships and generous donors who make this opportunity possible.
