The Senate passed Ted Cruz’s college sports bill last night, 77-22. It heads to the House after the election.Athletes can still get paid for their name and likeness. Schools would get a harder cap on what they can share. Kids would get one free transfer. The NCAA would get legal cover to enforce the rules. Cruz says college sports turned into the wild west and this puts one rulebook on it. Critics say Congress is doing what the courts would not let the NCAA do.
