President Trump was in Iowa last night and he made it clear he is not walking away from the Vivek Ramaswamy ad. He defended the spot that features Amy Acton's estranged mother calling her a liar. He told Ramaswamy to thank God for the ad, and he went after Ohio's Republican governor, Mike DeWine, for calling it "deeply, deeply troubling." This comes right after JD Vance told Republicans to stop whining about the ad and focus on winning. Trump just put his name behind it in public.

There’s been no plan made for a public memorial for Mike Ditka. Thursday night, then, might have to suffice. Playing their first home game since the man synonymous with their franchise died Oct. 9, the Bears paid tribute to the legendary coach and Pro Football Hall of Fame player at Soldier Field. The Bears handed out fake mustaches to all fans and a headband in the style of Ditka’s trademark sweater vest to the first 10,000. They held a moment of silence before playing the Patriots, the same team Ditka beat in Super Bowl XX.

 

Karoline Leavitt weighed in on her first successor to the White House press secretary job, saying the position “was not for” Katie Zacharia. Leavitt told Fox News that being President Trump’s spokesperson “takes a lot of preparation and sometimes you don’t know how someone will perform until they go out there.” “We wish Katie the best. The job obviously was not for her, but we wish her and her family well,” she added. Zacharia lasted five days as Trump’s press secretary, giving a short briefing where she was visibly nervous. Since her departure, she returned to her California home and has stayed quiet, being captured in public working out and again sporting a MAGA hat. “It’s unfair for the former press secretary to continue brutalizing President Trump’s hand-picked successor,” a source familiar with Zacharia’s thinking told The Post. “Katie has been adamant about not taking any interviews with friendly or hostile press, has declined profile pieces and would like for the coverage to focus on President Trump’s hard work,” the source continued. “She will not go on a self-promotion tour because it does not benefit the president. And she remains ruthlessly loyal while facing unprecedented attacks against her.”

 

On Thursday’s broadcast of MS NOW Rep. Jamie Raskin stated that the Trump administration “reviles immigrants” and Elon Musk is “an immigrant who came in, who never really inhaled the real values of our country. … He’s got no real interest in the values of our country, in equal protection and due process and the First Amendment and representative government.” Raskin stated, “This sort of forbidden thought occurred to me, Lawrence, which was, he’s part of the Trump regime, which has denounced immigrants and reviles immigrants and so on. Well, he’s an immigrant, and he’s an immigrant who came in, who never really inhaled the real values of our country. The reason why they’ve redesigned the whole asylum regime around him is because they want white Afrikaners, who are basically unreconstructed racists to come over to our country. Those are the only people getting in under asylum. And that’s obviously inspired by Elon Musk. He’s got no real interest in the values of our country, in equal protection and due process and the First Amendment and representative government. And he’s said that.” He continued, “These people, they want to go to Mars — I’m starting to think he was born on Mars — but they want to establish a new civilization somewhere else.”

Federal agents searched Ilhan Omar's Washington home in a pre-dawn raid tied to an investigation into possible immigration fraud. She called the search "bizarre" and said she is moving out of the house because of it. There is also reporting that "Ilhan Omar" is not her real name. The president has called for her to resign.
