Vice President Vance was at a rally in Ohio yesterday and said he saw a story about illegal communities of illegal immigrant Somalis who are coordinating to flood the polls and drown out your vote. He said American elections should belong to American citizens. Critics say there is no evidence of a coordinated plot by non-citizens. The comments followed a Minnesota official who went on Somali television and explained how same-day registration works. Minnesota issues state identification cards that do not mark whether the person is a citizen.

The New York Post has a story this morning about members of the Somali community who say they face death threats and physical intimidation if they speak out against Ilhan Omar. One person told the Post he gets death threats every day, is afraid to leave his home, and has been verbally abused and assaulted. The Post heard a seven minute phone call from someone described as a leading member of the community. Few people are willing to talk on the record.
