Greg and Phil talk with Stacy Peterson, Communications Director for the City of Peoria, about upcoming Halloween festivities, trick-or-treating hours, and important safety reminders for families. Official trick-or-treating hours in Peoria are Saturday, October 31, from 5–7 p.m., and she shares tips for keeping children safe while enjoying the holiday. She also previews two free, family-friendly Halloween events happening Friday, October 23. The 7th Annual City Hall-O-Ween, from 3:30–5 p.m. at Peoria City Hall, invites families to explore the historic building, enjoy spooky decorations across its floors, collect treats, and meet city employees. Later that evening, the Peoria Police Department hosts its annual Trick-or-Treat Halloween event, from 5–7 p.m. at Police Headquarters, where children can dress in costumes, meet local officers, explore the department, and enjoy Halloween treats. She highlights how these events bring the community together while providing safe and fun ways to celebrate Halloween.
