Today I’m bringing you a recording of a live presentation I did here in the Phoenix area called Wine, Chocolate, and Hormones. I gave the talk this title because for me these are three absolutely critical components to health and happiness. We’ve talked about hormones a lot on this podcast and this talk gives a great overview of how they work. In particular, I talk a lot about a pyramid. This isn't the old food pyramid, but one that shows how different systems of the body work together, with those on the bottom being the foundation for those on the top. On the very bottom is the gut, above that is the adrenals, then it is the thyroid, then the hormones, and at the very top is Vitamin D. I’ll explain how all these things are connected and how you can improve your health, happiness, and hormones by focusing on gut health, stress management, and exercise.
