Gemma Van Der Hurk joins Harper and Ella in the Cereal Box as a PhD student in cell biology/genetics at the University of Melbourne, to teach us about human olfactory recepters - aka smell detecters! We ask why certain people experience smell and taste differently (eg. ants, coriander) and why humans are the only species that can actually smell rain!
