Sam chats with MAY-A about her debut album Goodbye (if you call that gone), unpacking how she’d describe the record to first-time listeners and how it compares to her earlier releases. They reflect on growth — whether the album feels like the end of a chapter or simply a snapshot in time — and what’s surprised her most now that it’s out in the world.

MAY-A also opens up about writing in heat of the moment vs after the moment has passed, the best music advice she’s received, and the surreal full-circle moments that have made her stop and think, “Wow, I can't believe I get to do this!” The chat wraps with a rapid-fire round covering everything from stage mishaps to breakfast preferences.
