Thursday, October 3: Moravia football's Riley Jones is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Cayuga Health. Riley tallied three touchdowns—all in different ways—in a 43-6 win over rivals Groton in the first football game at the newly-renovated Scarry Athletic Complex. He first scored a rushing touchdown (finished with four carries for 20 yards), then he threw a 52-yard touchdown, and capped things off with a TD reception (finished with a team-high four receptions and 65 yards). He also had nine tackles on defense.
