Lane recorded 224 total yards and five touchdowns in a season-opening 66-6 win over Sidney. He tallied five receptions for 184 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 84 rushing yards and a touchdowns. He also returned a fumble for a 33-yard touchdown.

Wednesday, September 23, 2026: Southern Cayuga swimming's Colleen Whitten is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Centralus Health. Colleen won two individual events at the Invitational in the Glen, helping the Falcons finish fifth overall. She won the 50 freestyle in a personal-best and school-record 24.59 seconds, while also hitting the state standard. She added a win in the 100 butterfly with a school-record and state-standard time of 1:00.39, qualifying for the state championships in the event. Whitten also helped Southern Cayuga’s 400 freestyle relay team finish third, swimming the leadoff leg.

Jasmir tallied over 200 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in a 31-30 win over Homer. He had 12 carries for 169 yards and two touchdowns as well as two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. He also forced a fumble and recovered a fumble on defense.

Jasmir tallied over 200 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in a 31-30 win over Homer. He had 12 carries for 169 yards and two touchdowns as well as two receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. He also forced a fumble and recovered a fumble on defense.

Allie recorded eight goals and two assists across a pair of season-opening wins. She first scored a hat trick and added an assist in a 6-3 win over Thomas A. Edison, then tallied five goals and one assist in a 6-1 win over Watkins Glen.
