Wednesday, September 23, 2026: Southern Cayuga swimming's Colleen Whitten is ESPN Ithaca's Fueling Excellence High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Centralus Health. Colleen won two individual events at the Invitational in the Glen, helping the Falcons finish fifth overall. She won the 50 freestyle in a personal-best and school-record 24.59 seconds, while also hitting the state standard. She added a win in the 100 butterfly with a school-record and state-standard time of 1:00.39, qualifying for the state championships in the event. Whitten also helped Southern Cayuga’s 400 freestyle relay team finish third, swimming the leadoff leg.
