Black Drum
This is the loudest fish call recorded from the Lagoon. Males and females both produce sound and have a conversation. They do not spawn south of Ft. Pierce on Florida's east coast. There were large populations at KSC at one time.
Red Drum
Red drum do not spawn south of KSC. We call this aggregate call the "freeway sound"
Atlantic Toadfish
This is the most harmonic call in the Lagoon. Dolphin hunt them down based on this call, males only.
