The Florida Citrus Commission is considering new orange juice marketing programs to kick-start sales of the state's new orange crop. The program could raise growers’ tax revenue by up to 71 percent. A decision on the plan and next year's tax rates may not come for several weeks. The commission's chief economist and the department’s advertising agency are trying to fine-tune a new economic model projecting the impact of the marketing alternatives on annual O-J sales.
