Lola x

Welcome to your diary episode. Here's the thing.

I'm a bit of a nomad, so these episodes come to you from wherever I'm living or traveling to at the time, so I'll share with you what's going on in my world, from book tours, animal encounters, delish meals, nature adventures, health discoveries to swimming in Hidden Byron Bay Beaches. Come with me as I share my adventures with you.

Hello Ridio.

For once, I'm recording a Friday Diary on a Friday evening, which, yes, if you've done the math, means it'll probably come out on a Saturday morning. But it's nice to be recording a Friday Diary on a Friday and on a Virgo full moon red blood eclipse no less as someone that has four Virgos in their charts. I feel like there's something special in that. So as I come to this diary is kind of part Sydney, part Malves because.

We've just got to.

Malves pretty much and we have been in Sydney. We left Byron at the start of the week, went to Sido's, had some appointments in Sydney. Boss had a meeting with one of his bosses. I did a day of podcasting. I also had a lunch with my lovely pod manager Claire, and we recorded a huge chunk of pods, so they're all going to start rolling out in the coming weeks, which is so exciting. And I got to go to the new iHeart building, which was a lot of fun. This podcast is with arn and iHeart and so it was really cool because when I walked into record, it's in the same building as KISSFM, and like it was the morning and the Kyle and Jackie O was like mid on like recording and there's this pit. They caught the pit and it's like, I want to say, like ten fifteen producers just working on the show at any given time.

So cool.

It feels very It actually feels very Hollywood, very big, big.

Extra, you know what I mean, Like lots of energy. So fun.

Like even when I was walking to the studio that I recorded in, which I'm presuming is more of a pod studio but it looks like a radio studio, there was a massive white coffin just chilling in the hallway and I was like, guys, what is that coffin doing that? Like a real one, life size and they're like, ah, I'm sure it's something for Kyle and Jack. We just don't ask questions, and I'm like, amazing, Like there's just I imagine there's constant things going on for like stories or you know, planned segments down the line. Very fascinating, very fun day. And yeah, just back to back pods. Did a few Sydney foodie things.

I went.

My lunch with Claire was at a place called Sando's in Paddington at five Ways. I just got a smashed on gluten free with two egos. Yam O, thank you Claire. The next day Claire shotowed me lunch yet again. Legend if you hear this, Claire. We went to Calli Press and I got the Macro bowl and it was ten out of ten. Then we caught up with our friend Duncan, who is the creator of have Yoga, which has an online platform but also a studio in mull and Bimbi. So if you ever en Byron Go, he's amazing. And we caught up with Duncan, went for a really nice walk, watched the sunset, and then we were staying with Matt's sister and brother in law and that was a lot of fun and what else Then we kind of got we road trips. Then we got on the road. The next morning, we went to this gluten free bakery that I had been eyeing off cold, Whole Green Bakery, and I got a gluten free hot crossy and a gluten free cinnamon roll for the road coffees from their boss got a pork and fennel sausage roll. I thought the hot crossy was absolutely deliciamo and they hit it up and put some butter on it for me. Anyway, if you're gluten free like me, it's called Whole Green Bakery. I think there's three of them in Sydney, Like the one that I went to was in the city and it was great and delish, And then we drove all the way to Melbourne. We just stopped off at a little town called Gunning, which is like little farming town and that was lots of fun. And then yeah, got to Malbs late that night. Went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants with Dad when we got in called La Tortoria I think it's called in Kensington, and that was delish and everything's GF there too, so that's really easy. And for dessert we got the flan so good and I got two fish tacos and a lamb taco ten out of ten. Then today is our first day in Melbourne really and I had therapy, so I did my therapy session. We did a lot of work around value systems today and around focusing on empowering as opposed to healing people. Sometimes I get trapped in that like, oh I got to help them. Oh I know how to fix this. I know how to help. And my therapist was like, no, Like this is all about getting really clear on your values. He's like, but also like valuing yourself and owning your value. He's like, it's time to step into that space. And we talked about like energy, not pushing energy, but pulling energy, like drawing people in with your energy. And I was like, oh that is so cool. So yeah, a whole day of just like focusing on values, which was a lot of fun. And because I do therapy sessions, but I'm in LA but they're obviously on Zoom because my therapist is here, and so it was so nice to have a real life sessh in the flesh. And then I had a meeting with a publicist after that, and then Boston and I went to Paran Market got some salmon and veggies to cook for dinner tonight, so it was really nice to have a home cooked meal. And then oh, we also went to this place called Sweet Greek. It's that Paran Market, and I hadn't eaten all day and I was like two pm and I was like, boss, I've gotta eat something. So I got this like three salads and so cook lamb was like a butter bean salad. Then there was roasted brussels, and then it was a beetroot salad. Beetroot salad was in credo. And then we went to Paran Health Food, which is a really good health food so and just stopped up on like some clean protein bars, some supplements, all that kind of thing. And then we went back into param Market to get to get our salmon and veggies we roasted tonight, and some figs for dessert. And then we also went back to Sweet Greek and I was like, oh, want some gluten free treats. Got a gluten free carrot cake which was really good, and then got this gluten free raspberry cupcake, so flipping yum. I have also been a little bit on the Australian Chocolate Bandwagon, because if anyone listening to this is from America, I gotta say Australia wins on the choky's, especially caramelic couil. Here's my take. I think giant Caramelo Koalas tastes better than the littlies. So I have had two Giant Caramelo Kuala has since been back in Australia. I had won the day I landed, and I had one today. And what other things if I tried, Oh, I tried a raspberry smash Mars bar. It's actually kind of good, so instead of having that newgat level, it's got raspberry. It was okay, But what was really good was a milky bar bisc Off collab Amaze. And then when I first got in like a week ago or ten days ago, Boss and I tried the new marvelous creation Coal of Fizz and that was really good.

I think that's all I've tried.

But yeah, I have been googling the Aussie chocolates because they're so good. We're going to have I've got my hair tomorrow and then I think we're having a little lunch date. Bosso and I and I am just mad in pod prayer. I'm so flippin' lucky that I've had such a good response to booking podcasts.

I was so worried no one did say yes, yes.

I always have that fear when I'm coming to skids in Malbs and instead of like fighting for my I usually called four EPs back to back. I've had like extra people, and so I've got five EPs back to back on Monday.

But I'm so pumped.

And then next week is Monday Pods acting school Tuesday Wednesday. I think what the dentist in there as well? And then we want to see Marmin Dalesford.

What else?

And then I think I'm doing an influencer colab at the end of the week at our hotel. Stay so so much look forward and I want to go to the footy with Dad.

I really want to.

I go for the Mighty Dawns the Bombers, isn't it. I really want to go tonight. But I having now have five pod guest books for Monday, I just had.

To really really really focus on pod preps.

So I have prepped two of my five guests, and I have the weekend, so I will keep prepping all weekend and then.

I don't know. I don't know what else I want to tell you.

And then this whole weekend we're actually gonna be at Matt's family's house and doing you know, Italiano Sunday lunch. It'll be lots of fun, lots of family and lots of kiddos. But I'll have to also be working the whole time as well. But it's all right because I flipping love podcasting. It makes me so happy. It is genuinely such a big passion of mine, and I just feel so flip and lucky that I get to do this pod. And yeah, I'm pumped and I'm so excited about the pods that we recorded on Wednesday in Sydney. I just absolutely loved it. I yeah, it was like meeting like I hadn't met Mitch Dury before, which I invited him. Is an amazing comedian and entertainer, radio TV presenter, and I ended that with it like at.

The end, I was like, oh, I want to be your friend.

And the other guess I all knew like and had either worked with before or currently work with, or had already had on the pod, So that was kind of like catching up with old mates, which was so nice. So I just got I feel like I've got so lucky with the guests, and then knowing that it's just like fully booked for Malves is such a nice feeling. Like I've been really tonight just really working on the pod and like seeing these guests and all the names and like all the stuff we've got booked coming out just makes me so pumped for the pod, like just so excited for it.

And yeah, I'm.

Really really really really just excited for the pot of Rooney moving forward. And I think it's gonna be Well, it is my baby, let's be real. I was gonna say think it's gonna be my baby, but it is my baby.

It really is.

Now I'm gonna do my classical thing where I pulled my phone up in just a double check. I haven't missed anything, and I've just got you know, good snapper, like I've got my Oh.

Yes, I've also been.

Trying different health products and like an health bars. Oh that's the other thing I got from Sweet Greek Day, so it's a brand market. We also got backlah Bah, which is probably my favorite sheet ever.

It was so good. And I've got the salad here I got.

Oh this morning. I actually my uncle Peter is staying at Dad's at the moment. We had a coffee date Uncle Peter, Dad and I which was so cute. They both got almond laches. I got them both coffees. Very cute. I've got all the sid stuff here, all the Potos stuff. So much fun.

Byron.

The last week of Byron, the last couple of days of Byron was obviously a little bit cyclony. You might've heard that in the Monday episode, but it kind of like that last little bit was just we were like, do you know what, We're just so lucky that we were staying with mates, and it just ended up being like such a sweet little hang and they had this They have the sweetest dog who's about sixteen. His name is mister McGee, and he's like the cutest little thing, and he'd always come and chill with the Boss and I and then we just got to like have fun and do Monopoly and like slow down a little bit. And then yeah, we got to Sydney. We were like, okay, it's good, it's go time. Because you know, when you're in a natural disaster, it kind of throws things a bit skew if you know, you're kind of like, okay, let's recalibrate and it can slow you down a bit, but in like a really nice way.

And so yeah, that was really nice, if that makes sense. So that's me hair Tomorrow.

I have been going to Frank at Beebar since ever, like literally since I was thirteen, so he's going to cut up for me tomorrow. Then literally seeing Matt's Fambam, I'm seeing a psychic mate on the weekend, and then it's literally Matt's fam and acting school and pods that is going to be my life for the week. And then I'll really downregulate a bit when I go to Dalsford and see Mum and just kind of chill and take it easy and recess.

So yeah, that's me.

It's going really really quick, and I want to make sure I soak it up and enjoy it and stay really present. And so I'm going to really hold my self accountable to just being really present and you know, just soaking up all the magic that is, you know, hanging with.

The fanbam and being back in Australia, you know. So that's me.

If there's anything you think I should check out while I'm in mouths, you know.

Just say the word.

You know me love loved to do a lot of things and love sussing the local calfs. You know, cafe, but I love saying calf. Don't know why it feels extra Australian when I say calf. All right, Mega Love, I'm going to go back to pod planning and then go to beddos and I'm sure Boss will upload this either tonight or first thing tomorrow morning, which means you'll be hopefully having in your potteroony is very soon, and I will of course bring you your next pod diary will probably actually come to you from beautiful Dalesford on my mum's farm. Oh cannot wait, all right, Megal, Love my friends, go out and do the stuff you love.
