At just 21, Dr Kopano Matlwa Mabaso, had written a best selling and critically acclaimed novel ‘Coconut’. A coming of age story set in post Apartheid South Africa, which tackles the delicate issues of identity politics.

She wrote that debut novel book while studying towards a medical degree at UCT. Since then, this young writer has written and published two other works, ‘Period Pain’ and ‘Spilt Milk’. Dr Mabaso sat down with Nikiwe Bikitsha on this episode of FTFWS.
