View descriptionShare

Considered the world’s most important event for conserving biodiversity, the United Nations Biodiversity Conference COP16 is taking place in Cali, Colombia. This gathering brings together heads of state and ministers from around the globe to advance efforts in improving biodiversity protection. Following the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, this year’s focus is on reversing biodiversity loss by 2030. Tonight on Africa at a Glance, we’re joined by Flora Mokgohloa, DDG of Biodiversity & Conservation at the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment who  will help us understand South Africa’s role in this critical global effort and what it means for our own biodiversity conservation efforts.
